    Self congratulation backfires.

In the week Bonner was bragging about how he and the club have improved every player that has come in the door, and their dead eye in picking good ones, they lose to CHELTENHAM.

There is someting in the swirling clouds of the gods that dictates that the second you become smug, a smack is coming.

Hopefully this is the start of something big, monstrous, earth shattering. So big it will consume the football world and shake it like a croc shakes a tiny deer in its mouth.

And it is this, that Cambridge will embark on a losing run that will dwarf all others. Most players will get long term injuries, or poxes, of the monkey type, wink wink .

A wayward putin rocket will raze the abbey. Barry will become bankrupt. The pipes will burst and flood the ********.

Alex Stonebridge will become a monk. Mark Johnson will join an Abba band full time. Doug Shulman will reveal he comes from dogthorpe.

    Beware. Thoughts become things.
