Can't remember the last one. Different mindset today, played 2 up front away from home too... a new direction.

A brace for Collins which should do him a world of good. Dominated possession (as usual) but used it in a more positive way. A solid start under the new manager!

    Breath of fresh air that

Not faffing about playing out from the back, no sideways b0llocks, no slow passing that allows the opposition to get into shape and then sit and wait for us to finally get near the box

Pleased that Clowes has seen that and thought no chance, gone out and got a team that plays the game how it should be played

Energetic, fitter (although we still need to get more fit for this style), play with conviction and pace. We saw a midfield working off the ball for the first time in ages today, youd meed to go back to Mcclarens first season to find that ffs. All this tippy tappy, playing out from the back, playing with no real emergy whatsoever is an infection we seem to have caught of Spain and tiki taka, except weve taken it to the extreme with a slower paced version of it. Scrap it amd get it back to how it should be.

I think this must be as near as can be to the (9th?) ‘anniverary’ of McClaren taking over from Clough in not dissimilar circumstances.
    Here’s hoping for a similar outcome...only better!
As mac says...a ‘solid start’...hopefully giving us something to build on further up to Christmas before Warne can, as I’m sure will have been agreed with Clowes, strengthen further.

With everything that's gone on I'm off the ball with our punishment predicament... Are we allowed to spend further?

Probably not transfer fees but maybe free agents in the transfer window or other freebies

Ahh thanks. Perhaps there's a Rovrum player he'll bring in... At least we have someone who knows EFL players rather than risking a PL youngster.
