I did Alfie, they played well, but you need to have a word with Sub, his Ashington team are doing even better. They beat Ashton United who are two divisions higher in the last round, and yesterday beat Bradford PA who are three divisions higher. The road to Wembley has opened up for both of us.

Did Bamber Bridge once do the Wembley final?

Sadly, they missed out in the 1991/92 season when they lost in the Vase Semi-Final which was played over 2 legs.
Wimborne Town drew at Bamber Bridge 0-0 and then won the home leg 2-0. They went on to play Guiseley in the Final and won that 5-3.

I lived next door to Duncan McFadyen's (Dynamos right-back) mum and dad, they said I could go down to Wembley with them, they'd get me a ticket etc, but I turned them down, wasn't interested, just lived for the Clarets in those day.

This is the proper FA Cup we're in now, win four more games and either Clitheroe or Ashington could be playing Burnley.

Ashington are drawn away to Stocksbridge Park Steels in Sheffield ----they could win this one!
