Totally agree. I don't mind if the commentary is informative but making inane comments or pointing out the blindingly obvious just for the sake of saying something detracts from what is both a solemn and historic occasion.
I worked last night and am struggling to keep awake now but wanted to watch the main service at least. Thought the most moving part was the singing of the National Anthem. End of an era.
