    O/T Queens Funeral

Despite my best efforts on a cold , damp and uninspiring day and the fact nowt else is on its on my tv .

My feelings about the monarchy are well known but none the less I can't help but be nothing but impressed about the send off she's getting .

There isn't a country in the world that could put this on with the pageantry , colour and the sheer spectacle of it .

    We are Champions at this.
Some very proud parents watching their young ones giving their all.
I’ve found it all quit moving watching the young 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards moving and lifting the coffin with absolute perfect precision.
A very special spectacle I must say.

I’ve got to admit I’m a bit of a royalist where the immediate royals are concerned (not the hangers on) and it’s occasions like this that brings out the best from the UK and shows the rest of the world what we’re about.

I've actually watched the US coverage on NBC News just to get a different angle on it , there's only so much Nick Witchell anyone can stand after all .

The US commentators are in awe of it , spellbound even .

It's live on every US news channel , no doubt across the whole world .

You don't realise do you until sometimes sad events like this one happens just how significant a day this is in history .

A sad event but marvellous too at the same time .

WE …. this little island of ours - is the centre of the world.
End of - full stop - period.
    This especially applies to London.
We are where 3 large circles meet - North American continent - Europe - The Commonwealth.

    What we do matters.
Others throughout the world are watching.
For example - response to climate change - it doesn't matter how insignificant the amount of pollution we produce.
How we respond to it - matters !!!
    Others are watching.

And may I say - this is one of the reasons I voted for Brexit.
As a country we are too influential to be homogenised into a European blandness.

No other country has influenced - and continues to influence - the 4 corners of the world as much as Britain.

I’m beginning to think that this message board is for a small group of Droopy Dog mates that live in bedsits up Sheffield Road.

    Exactly.
    London belongs to the world.
That’s why it’s still my favourite city.
In comparison - NY Greenwich Village Satdi neets.
Honestly - Wombwell on a Satdi neet is better.
    And I ain’t joking.
