I regularly visited a customer in Magstadt bei Stuttgart and in one local restaurant they did a sort of wild boar fillet cooked in cream and brandy with mushrooms. OMG it was to die for!

Had a Wild Boar Stew once in Corsica, it was OK, nowt special, and once came face to face with a real live one when walking in a forest near La Rochefoucauld in the Charente region of France, fortunately it seemed more scared of us than we were of it, it shot off into the undergrowth before we could move.
