    Spartan Ladies v Hibs Ladies

    Spartan Ladies 2 v 2 Hibernian Ladies

Hibs started of well and Parry down the left was causing problems, Nor also was giving the spartans a hard time and was unlucky not to direct her header better after a quality cross from Hind. The hibs ladies slack passing in midfield caused problems and this led to hibs defence being caught out at times and led to Spartan’s first goal. A quality corner from Spartan’s found Galbraith which led to Spartan’s taking the lead 1-0.

Hibs came back into the game though but couldn't take advantage of Hind and Parry’s crosses and it was a ball that wasn’t cleared right by Spartan’s fell to the feet of Nor who just about took the net off fantastic goal. 1-1.

It was a close second half and Nor was replaced by Frida in the 69th minute, Hibs had Spartan’s under pressure but couldn’t finish. After yet another attack the ball fell to Hinds on the right who curled a terrific shot from 20 yards to beat the Spartan’s keeper top right 1-2 to hibs.

Hibs who looked to have the game under control but Hinds took an Injury and was replaced by Murray, Spartan’s weren’t in the mood for giving up and Hibs managed to give a silly free kick away after fouling a Spartan’s player just outside the box. Spartan’s Marshall took it and hit it with power unfortunately Haaland the Hibs keeper struggled to keep it out and the ball ended up in the back of the net.

2-2 was probably a fair result but it now appears a lot of the woman’s teams have caught up with Hibs and we need our players to give us that bit more to get they three points onwards and upwards ladies
