Anyone remember paying a tanner (6d)

To go through the turnstile at the back of the Rainbow stand to move from the Brummie to the Smethwick at half time, when we was kicking towards the Smethwick 2nd half.

I remember catching the bus in Grammar School Lane in Halesowen to go to the Hawthorns; we went into the Smethwick and if Albion were kicking towards the Brummie second half, we would just walk around to the other end, there were no barriers to stop you.

Hi, what year was that Ketts, I don't think the charge lasted long and when then trouble started they stopped you changing ends.

I remember climbing that big hill to the Smethwick end and climbing over the fence to get in for free!

I remember being able to walk from the Brummie to the Smethwick but don't remember how much it was to get in.

1968-69 Ketts, you could still do it at the start of the 1968 season but I don't think you could at the end of it.

The Rainbow stand was built in 1964 (at a cost of £40k) and the old M&B roof from the old east terrace was used to cover the Brummie rd

That was the making of the Brummie. The atmosphere that was created on that small area of terracing was special

I don't remember it but by that time I never left the Brummie. Could you describe it to me?
