Maybe she should just admit that she’s gone in over her head, out of her depth. People ridiculed Boris as incompetent and others expressed their dislike of Rishi Sunak but they didn’t plunge the country into economic meltdown. Worrying times.

The point is, though, that it is pointless to make a change of leader when there is nobody better to do the job. In the first round of ballots of Tory MPs, Liz Truss, I believe, gathered 50 votes, hardly a ringing endorsement of her potential! Whatever views you may have on Boris, it was the wrong time to be making such fundamental changes to PM and Chancellor. The Tory MPs panicked; had they been able to consult the Tory Party membership at the outset, they would most likely have found that Boris was more popular that any of those seeking to replace him. What we need is for the most capable people to run the country, unfortunately, I don’t think that any of us have the faintest idea who those people might be!

This Truss woman is obviously doing what she believes in but sadly it’s looks as though she’s looking after the rich, can’t see her lasting long
