EFL clubs discuss cost of living

Gary Neville sounds very switched on to this debate. If I remember correctly, games were played either at 12 or 1pm during the Miners strikes of 72 and 74.

I think we might well see games changed to mid day kick offs if both clubs agree to this. The big worry is loss of foot flow and revenue if they did this.

It’s a catch 22 but it will not effect the bigger clubs so all’s well.Southampton,Bournemouth to Newcastle 12pm ko great for fans, not.

Will season ticket holders get a refund? Not right on them when they have work is it and they’ll be watching the purse strings aswell

No legally they're not because it always says in the ts and cs that fixtures are subject to change, tv broadcasts, postponements etc but if a whole raft of fixtures change kick off times and you are on shifts then you may have a case. It is something few people are talking about

widespread shift of kick-off times in the Football League to lower floodlight use and save money has been ruled out. Could be changes only if World Cup England’s games clash.

    Interesting.

So the implication is that Truss is essentially against the scrapping of parachute payments for the rich few and a fairer distribution of wealth within football.

    Nothing new there then!
