    Has Hursty got a skeleton....

In his cupboard? On the face of it the choice of new manager should be barn door obvious.Hursty gave his footballing life to Rotherham United and clocked up over 400 appearances I believe. He has been a reasonably successful manager with a number of promotions on very tight budgets. He always says good things about our team and conducts himself in a very professional manner. He appears to pass the good person test.
Ipswich of course was a disaster but mainly due to uncontrollable ( by Hurst) circumstances.
He has an outstanding reference available from PW ( trust me on that one)
Given all this it seems astonishing that he hasn’t got the job.
Of course there must be a reason.
Does anyone know why such a capable servant to the club, good person apparently, excellent CV,youngish and enthusiastic and already publicly endorsed by Warne as a certain future Rotherham manager does not seem to be in the running.

He was joint manager at Grimsby along with Rob Scott once upon a time.

Paul Hurst big mistake leaving Shrewsbury Town, & trying to do a job at Ipswich Town,
this probably gone against him, chairman thinking he can't do a job in the championship,
    but o/k in league 1 & 2

Not right for a team that’s 8th in the Championship

And probably not right either for league 1

But he’s a nice guy so is probably odds on.

Maybe, but consistency is the key

Like a golf handicap, you can have a few very good rounds but over a lot more you eventually even out to your true level

By all account they had a massive bust up Scotty was sacked for gross misconduct. Hurst will never come to the Millers while ever Scotty is head of recruitment as from what ive heard they hate each other.

    Just a thought

Is Scott exclusively employed by RUFC or is he acting as a freelance consultant?

Scotty was appointed by RUFC and NO we would not be better getting Hurst back.
