As I drove home I thought 'who'll get the red first' walk in and there it is - very undisciplined

    Could’ve been worse.
A point is welcome in the circumstances.

How come Bailey wasn't yellow carded for kicking the ball away in the first half - Atwell is an inconsistent ****.

Could have snatched it at the death!

I remain of the opinion that Kristensen isn't anywhere near good enough.

Couple of chances to pinch it at the end, shame as we should have had three points today. Villa are poor in their finishing

After all that time off and this is what we get? Glad I opted for another job at sea so couldn't pay to watch it. At least I will be on leave for the World Cup where Louis van Gaal will bring the trophy home.
Not sure what Jesse needs but to not beat a team like Villa suggests he needs something. A decent striker maybe?

Horrid game to watch and Villa's sh1thousing tactics and a truly awful Ref made it a decent point in the end.

You can see why Villa fans want SG gone their brand of Football is feckin awful.

Pity about dropping 2 points but Gerrard's Villa came to 'spoil' & close down any space for us to constructively use the ball.

So10 men against a dour Villa side is maybe one of those games to look back on to learn how to keep more* focused and create possibly more from our dead ball situations.

Frustrating obviously but a naive performance from us for me as Villa only play one way under Gerrard and i thought we'd have more in our creative tactical locker to do them.

Needless to say but those are the games we need to win if we don't want a repeat of last season, that would have taken us up a few places instead of still languishing just above the drop zone.
