    A peculiarity of Venus

Earth takes 24 hours to rotate on its axis once. We call that a day. Earth takes 365.25 days to completely orbit the Sun. We call that a year.

Venus takes 243 Earth days to rotate on its axis once. We call it a day. Venus takes 225 Earth days to completely orbit the Sun. We call that a year.

So on Venus a day is longer than a year.
