Best night at ML for a long while. First half performance was of a team at least a couple of leagues up, complete travesty that it was only 1-0. Second half was end to end, could have gone either way, Wrexham fans seem to think they battered us, but far from the case. Gotta say, while they were pretty slick at times in our half, ( the offside goal was a great move)they were effing dreadful at knocking it around at the back, for the money they’ve spent. Our pressing was fantastic though.

Nothings decided in October, but we certainly look a team in it for the long haul. LW deserves enormous credit, he’s totally transformed that side.

Agree with all of that. We started brilliantly and fully deserved our half-time lead. Second half, they had more possession but both teams had very good opportunities to score - became a bit of a basketball match with the way it flashed from one end to the other. We should probably thank our lucky stars that their two best chances fell to Watkins instead of Mullins. They’re a big, physical side, though, and if we manage to finish above them, we’ll be champions.

I was especially delighted to see Lee end up on the losing side after the little **** looked very pleased with himself after kicking a ball over the Pavis Stand when Sam Slocombe was practicing goal kicks.

Rodriguess little nutmeg was a thing of beauty for the goal. We've got moments of class in us but this season we've got the grit to go with it that is making the difference.
