    O/T. Autumn Crop

    What's the fruit harvest been like in South Yorks this year ? Just had a conversation with my other half about the abundance of fruit on local trees. Two Horse Chestnut trees along a road where I live have produced more " conkers" this year than Ive ever seen. Blackberries and Plums also in abundance .

    Conker trees are losing leaves earlier than the sycamores which is unusual

    My pears have been excellent this year ( ooo….missus)

    Loads of different types of Apples and 2 types of Plums. Excellent harvest..........yum yum.

    Natures way of warning against a harsh winter to come ?

    On topic however my tomatoes were very poor this year

    Grapes, pears, chillies (gone mad).
    No toms this year as being away too much.

    Neighbour has a pear tree in her garden, last year didn’t produce at all, this year it is laden with them . All this fruit after a summer drought , u usual.
