Not sure I agree. He took ages to decide. He wasn't sure and gave it knowing VAR was there gave him a chance to have it checked. Ridiculous that he wasn't offered a chance to look again during all that time we waited. I doubt he gives it without VAR and if VAR had been implemented properly who knows what the decision would have been had they reviewed it.

I've said this more or less in previous posts so 100% agree. The referee was being a gutless cnt but he knew VAR was there to do his job for him. Still fuming.

The promise of VAR was that the result would be far fewer mistakes and better overall refereeing.

The reality in Scotland has been it's a magnifying glass over how poor our referees actually are. I don't have any stats but if anything it appears mistakes have increased rather than reduced.

Did that referee on Saturday not give a dubious penalty against us against Motherwell at Fir Park. Only Erickson saved the penalty. Was at the game and can remember he had a bit of a nightmare but cannot recall whether the penalty was a stonewaller or a bit iffy.
