    Swans v Reading

An opportunity tonight, with this quick turnaround in games, to erase that Burnley nightmare, where our commitment and aggression went missing as the Clarets sliced through us like butter with fast wingers and a high press. Where was the team that won 5 out of the last 6 games?
Manning was a huge miss, Latibeaudiere is not a wing-back, Sorinola’s poor defending exposed Cabango.
Cundle and Cooper rested, no fight in midfield with a weak captain going missing.
Manning fitness being assessed ahead of tonight’s home game against Reading. Piroe banned for 3 matches after a late sending off.
Martin’s teams have a history of blips with heavy defeats at MK Dons and Swansea. It’s important to bounce back with the derby coming up on Sunday.

Harry Darling, Luke Cundle and Ollie Cooper returned for this match after the Burnley shambles, Kyle Naughton, Olivier Ntcham were benched and Joel Piroe started a three match suspension.
There were groans of frustration after another two soft goals were conceded within the first 32 minutes, and more defensive slip-ups.
Darling pulled one back before half-time with a looping header into the net from a Grimes corner which brought some hope.
Second half what a turn around as goals from Cooper and a long range shot from Fulton sealed the win.
    Cardiff here we come!

“For them to come through a moment like this after Saturday is massive, when you put it into context with how young that team is.”

Well boys that was exciting end to end stuff, after we took the lead at least.
Before that Reading players were time wasting, falling down like nine-pins feigning injury.
Poor defending for both their goals:
Latibeaudiere mis-judging the ball in the air, giving their player the freedom to cross for the goal.
Darling fouled in chase for through ball by Reading player wrapping his arms around him, then being out-muscled for possession leading to the second goal.

Well we won and cudos to the players for fighting back to win the match.
We have to cut out those defensive errors though if we have any aspirations for this season.
I was surprised at Reading’s tactics with their deep defending and time wasting, but it obviously worked for their two goals.
