17 entries as well as Brin and mine so odds are pretty good that a Rotherham charitiy/charities will be getting something. I notice that nobody had Iran reaching the 2nd stage so I think there must be some canny predictors out there

A few bums twitching after that earlier result, especially EdinburgMiller and Howdydoo who both have Argentina as the eventual winners. Only cayton with Poland and the extremely brave GF with Saudi Arabia didn't have them at least reaching the last 16.

So a quarter of Qatar over with and I make it 41 goals in 16 games and on target for 164 if the pace remains the same? Will it? There have been 4 0-0 games so maybe they will reduce as the competition goes on, certainly in the KO stages. However there has also been an 8 goal and a 7 goal game. How are you doing with your tiebraker?

Think my 143 is a good call. The goals will lessen as the better teams progress and more defensive play comes into games.

No, they still have one game left to try to reprieve themselves. However, per GF's prediction they cannot be the best team in the group stages
