Back due to overwhelming demand

It's time for the quadrennial (plus another half a year this time around) disappointment where England will as usual flatter to deceive and then exit stage left due to some unforeseeable heartbreak, or more likely this time around just fade away with a whimper.

So why not pin your hopes on winning the prestigious MM World Cup Prediction competition instead? A simple format where you need to predict how far teams will get. Take a look at the information below to plan your strategy then simply pick the 16 teams that will make it through the group stages, from those the 8 who will make it to the quarter finals and so on and so forth. TIP - Due to the format notice that only 2 teams from Groups A/B, C/D, E/F and G/H can make it to the quarter finals.

Apart from that just 3 other predictions to consider. Which team will have the best record in the group games (PTS then GD then GS) and which will have the worst (PTS then GD then GC). If in either category 2 or more teams have identical record then the 10pts will be awarded for picking either/any team. Finally, in the event of a tie on points at the end of all of this, the winner of the competition will be determined by who is closest to the number of goals scored in all 64 games (this includes the 3/4th place playoff and all goals scored in extra time but not in penalty shoot outs).
