Mettam is the Wisbech manager, and ive just watched the video of his interview after tuesdays win against Great Shelford in the cambs cup.
No holds barred, he slags off players, calls them out for their bad behaviour, attitude and tricks over injuries. He doesnt spare them over rubbish displays. He reports on what goes on in the dressing room. And breaks his heart over it.
He is on the side of the owners and fans, a breath of fresh air. He told a player to f off if he was going to be a prims donna in a previous video.
He says things are coming together slowly, i hope he makes it, he has a big future in football. When things go badly, you can see the pain. Wisbech have won 4 and lost ten in the United Counties league, players come and go as he sorts through the rubbish.
Going tomorrow. Up the Fenmen.
