It looks that way from the photo. Not sure if there are/were plans for a roof though?

EDIT: It seems a roof was planned, judging from the images here

So you park up go to the shop for the rackets then go back round to the courts, brilliant

From the pics, which is all I've seen, it's outdoor with a roof. Maybe a bit chilly at first in winter, but when has that been a problem*?

    * Must admit I have trouble getting my balls to bounce in cold weather.

Just been looking at the racquet prices. They seem to start at about £30 so I'd imagine if people like the game they'll be buying their own soon enough.

Or just buy your own racket and balls

If you'd have read the article and viewed the picture, there is obviously no roof to those courts.

They still have 12 days to put one on before it officially opens

I assume you're talking about buying rather than hiring. I've seen them at Decathlon for £30 - £300, but I think me and my crew would want to give it a go before we buy. Can't find any hire prices.

£30 for a racket isn't too bad compared badminton/tennis/squash. As the rackets don't have strings, they don't require a restring if a string goes like other racket sports which is a money saver.

I wonder how well the rackets bounce off the ground/fence when thrown in a losing in tantrum?
