I'm hoping it'll bring interest rates under control as my fixed rate runs out in July - don't care about the price of a pint, the very least of my worries really.

Police and education budgets look like taking biggest hits.

Income tax rates not to rise but thresholds frozen for a number of years, with bigger rises more people will start to or pay more at higher rate of tax.

Triple lock kept but shot in the dark here maybe only for existing pensioners.

Review of state pension age brought forward.

Benefits rise but possibly disability benefits means tested and taxed.

Council tax rise limits increased in Engurland.

Inheritance tax limits frozen and big one in England is social care limits (amount of capital you have before you start paying) was due to be reduced might be moved forward.

Alcohol banned in a progressively more authoratarion state but free smack on the national COVID service.

    Foreign aid budget cut, slightly.

I’m a bit like yourself, only really interested in myself, so being mortgage free, the price of a pint is important 😂

Cuda been worse but still bad if your in FT work and not on means tested benefits.

Review of state pension age not great for us of a certain age.

The freezing of allowances though is sair though for those that work FT, pensioners insulated against this a bit with a triple lock guarantee......this can't last.

600k to get work coach hmmmm they tried that.....doesn't really work .....it always seems to end up with people being sanctioned rather than helped into work.

Taxing of electric cars made me giggle......Cannae beat a diesel.😁

Work coach? Just cut a tenner a week off their Giro till they take a job, job done. Work or want should be the motto.

Get where you are coming from but there's an element now in this country who are basically unemployable, a lot of it is covered up with disability benefits.......IE junkies getting pip or Scottish adult disability payment.....( I just don't class them as disabled)......these people are pretty much unemployable, successive govts and poor personal choices have let them become unemployable.

But a full time drug addict should be able to claim full pip or adult disability £650 per 4 weeks, ESA ( old incapacity) £115 per fortnight, no council tax, no rent, free food obviously at the foodbanks......and their drugs for zip.....throw in a bairn or two possibly getting some disability benefit and cud easily be talking 20k per year tax free.

The guy that will be hurt from a work coach will be the guy that's a wee bit slower, maybe dosent have great tekky skills or form filling ability or social skills......he will get turned over and sanctioned.
