It was early game here so got to watch it and England were so fkin boring. They really didn't create much and never looked like scoring.
Usa on the other hand looked dangerous and deserved to win.
During the commentary dude said the time USA beat England England hit the post 11 times if that is true that is bonkers as I have never heard anything so unlucky in my life lol

A truly terrible watch and in the end I was hoping U S would take it, much more enterprising and entertaining team.

Made me laugh (no it didn’t) when the pathetic bunch took the knee (sigh) and all the Americans ‘stood’ and watched them.

Some observations on the World Cup so far.
    1. Wales did not score a single goal from open play. Their only goal was from a penalty.
    2. Several teams have played with 5 at the back. They include: Qatar, Iran, Wales 1st half against US, Netherlands - on certain points in game. This formation is most uncommon in Premier league.
    3. Cody Gakpo has scored 3 in 3 games. It might have been good business for Leeds to have tried to pry him from PSV. Now he will be beyond our means.
    4. US has a whole team of excellent players for the 1st time in living memory. Usually they have 7-8 top class players and 3-4 workhorses. Not this time. Yet, they are not sharp in the final third, and struggle when the opponents attack (with exception of England, whose attack was as feeble as Barnsley's reserves).
    5. I like Safegate's rotation of players, where he has rested Bellingham, saka, sterling etc. This is going to help. No idea why he didn't give Kane a rest. Has he even been subbed? Not sure.

    Comment on your thoughts.

The US has world cup players at almost every position. We have the worst coach of the final 16 teams.

I think Robinson is as good as a turnover everytime he touches the ball. It's insane we have Reyna sitting the bench and Aaronson playing 30 minutes a game.

The US played 10 men back the second half of the must win game. A brilliant tactic that ensured that Iran had plenty of chances at attacking. Makes it nice and easy for Iran to penetrate the offensive zone.

The added time to stop time wasting has been a positive.

There is too much money and commercial interest in football and the World Cup in particular - tends to corrupt everything behind the cloak of professionalism.
