Southgate reminds me too much of Burchnall.

He has the players but there is not enough urgency.

His post-match comments are similar too - Good team; hard to keep it up after winning 6 - 2; pleased with the mentality of the players as these are the games you can easily lose.

Just need a Luke Williams to take it to the next level. Hope he's on a long contract with us. Or maybe Hardy was right and Nolan's time has come?

It must be frustrating for likes of LW, clearly a very talented coach who’s spent years at it trying to perfect his skill. Then the likes of Southgate, Lampard,Rooney etc walk into these massive jobs with little to no experience and most of them ultimately fail.

Well done to the Aussies, a pleasure to watch. At least it seemed to mean something to them.

The little teams usually put in maximum effort to make up for shortfalls elsewhere. You will see plenty of it Gumpy in this world cup , we already have. Love a good world cup upset

If we're getting time added on for fouls etc, then the Argentina V Mexico game will go on for a while will be a bit tasty this one

Especially if the Argies are losing, discipline not the best when things not going right.

From a Notts point of view this WC has emphasised that even the best teams in the world rely on corners to score some of their goals.

Yep, plus they all fanny around playing the ball across the back and back to the 'keeper too.

But all with a little more ease than teams at NL level.

The Mexicans seem to play a mixture of crab ball and scud ball, how weird!
