Fireball XL5 for me
Robert the robot with his " on our way home"- i remember it well

Fireball XL5 man here. Steve Zodiac was the ultimate good-guy hero and co-pilot Robert, a member of the World Space Patrol as well as the world's most advanced robot. He was transparent too so you could see his workings which was a bit of a Brucie Bonus.

I liked the Stingray theme but it was all a bit frantic really. Far better the dreamy, space-like qualities of the Fireball XL5 theme. Local band Gaffa sampled it to good effect back in the day.

Jet propelled, retractable rear wings, verticle take-off vehicle which could travel underwater like a submarine or fly in outer space.

What's not to like?
