WHen you play against a team and they play better than you they have to score goals when they are on top. USA did not do that and only had one shot on target, I was very surprised to see that we ended up with three on target because until very late on we had only had one on target from about six shots.
One thing I have enjoyed is the fact that Earth, Wind and Fire rescued my evening and the paint is dry.

Kane should not have played; Southgate should have trusted Wilson and Sterling would struggle to get in a Championship team.

I am now totally convinced Southgate is useless and the FA are a set of spineless cowards.

Please, please ---is there a Union leader for footballers who can bring the England team out on strike, because they certainly need some strikers after last night's display. Three shots on target and two of those were between the 87th and 92nd minutes.
Never mind, the passing between Pickford, Stones and Maguire in order to increase our possession figures was a bore to behold. Modern football stinks and is overloaded with statistics which mean nothing -----and I am a statistician!

Where is Phil Foden ? You can see it week in and week out in the PL, Foden is simply a far better player than Raheem Sterling, Pep saw it clearly ages ago and off-loaded Sterling, Gareth after failing to integrate easily the best attacking player we have into the team over the last couple of seasons, seems to have given up the ghost now and won't even play him.

Where is the real Kieran Trippier ? Arguably the best crosser of a ball from the right in world football, we have a world class striker in Harry Kane who should thrive on such a service. In two games now there has not been the slightest sign of England attempting to get Trippier in down the right, aiming to get Harry on the end of his pin point crosses. It's as though Gareth hasn't even noticed what Kieran has been doing best for the last ten years, but never mind, he can always play Kieran at left back in an emergency, you won't get any lethal crosses from him there either, but that won't bother Gareth.

Gary Neville thought AA was the answer, apparently he's a good crosser of the ball from the right hand side. But if AA isn't played in down the right, and Harry's on the half way line, it won't/can't make any difference, he'll just find himself like Kieran, wasting his time.
