    Sporting injuries

Prompted by Tanya's Tae Kwon Do injury-sounded nasty, man.

I'm sure most of us have got some sort of story (doesn't have to be about yourself)

I broke my nose doing Tae Kw....no, correction, my mate broke my nose for me while we were sparring. Put it on the side of my face. Went to Rake Lane A&E where it turned out the nurse in charge was the mum of twins in my class...she saw me...and burst out laughing, saying 'wait 'til I tell the girls'

    ffs

Got knocked out playing Sunday football over in Ryton-was helped/dragged off the pitch where I kept on losing consciousness and every time I came to, I asked the sub where I was. Genuinely couldn't remember anything past going to bed the previous evening. The sub was patient at first, explaining what had happened but, after about the 5th time, he just said 'fucking hell, man...you were knocked out, you're in Ryton, now shut up, I'm watching the game'.

Mother Theresa had nothing on that lad, I tell you.

Had a bowling ball dropped on my foot during a game and broke my toes.

Playing staff football, took football to the face. Smashed my glassed off my face, was all laughs till i stood up staggered and dropped down again - apperently nobody was sure about our school insurance if sumit had happened Probably shouldn't have continued playing to be honest or driven home that day.

I play less technical and more physical though so can't complain to much when I get smacked - nicknames are currently: Hulk, Boulder Shoulders and The Wall
