    Sheep.

Ive just walked my dog, and the fields have been ploughed, sown, and now beginning to sprout, there is no close season to crops now.

Im sure our grain helps feed cumbria, which brings me to sheep. I thought sheep farming was an industry up there, down here a leg of lamb costs just under thirty quid. Disgusting. I dont buy it now, not because i cant, but being ripped off is unnaceptable.

Does anyone know what the problem is.?

Can anyone net a sheep, cut it up, and post it too me?

We keep the prime cuts of Herdwick for ourselves Frank, and it’s dirt cheap. The poorer stuff we sell at vastly inflated prices to gullible Southerners.

I am led to believe Frank has always liked mutton dressed as lamb.

Maybe a bit of hogget would appeal?

Thankyou seadog, a bit of common goes a long way. Tesco just sells legs of lamb, it conditions the customer to not think of mutton, indeed mutton never gets mentioned anyywhere. Roast mutton sarnie coming up with english mustard. There is an aldi in Ely.

Are you volunteering old boy? ( wink). xx

Mutton can be bought on line, never noticed it in a supermarket tbh… looks expensive…

The “grass fed” makes me laugh… what else do they eat… McDonalds on a Saturday 🤷*♂️

Thread reminds me of a film which was made locally many years ago… Raining Stones… opens with Les Battersby stealing a sheep to try & pay for his daughters communion dress
