    The facts are:

    1) He's not out of contract at the end of the season.
    2) More than one club are interested.
    3) He's more valuable to us than any money sitting in the bank whilst we're fighting it out for the title.
    4) Notts aren't in a perilous financial situation.

Notts can turn down offers and pit clubs against other clubs. We haven't had an asset where we've been in such a strong negotiating position for a long time. If any since I've supported Notts.

For these reasons, I'd be disappointed if we got less than £1.5m and there wasn't a loan clause until the end of the season.

If a club has a chance to sign him in January and get him tied up then it's far more beneficial than waiting until the end of the season when clubs have got rid of their deadwood or sold their top players and have more cash floating around.

It's also easier to sign a replacement in the summer as opposed to having to pay a premium to get a player off someone mid-season.
Exactly we can dictate the terms of any sale. Say 1m min and (name club) gets 1st option to better any other clubs offer
