I’m amazed that we won that match.

It’s a fantastic win and series win but if I’m being picky I still think we were too reckless in the second innings.

There was so much time left in the match that I just felt we should’ve given them a much higher target.

Very few teams in history have won a series in Pakistan though so it’s difficult to be too churlish.

I have to agree with you, churlish or not!

The time difference here means I have been able to watch live most of todays match as daughter and wife out Xmas shopping.

Whilst the declaration made for an exciting finish could not see the point of not leaving them say 450 to win, if we could have got enough yesterday. Why take a huge risk of getting beaten when they didn’t need to? Hardly professional.

What England need to be mindful of is that it won’t be long until other teams start to become unfazed by chasing 350+ in the fourth innings Yarm, even in a final day of 80 to 90 overs.

The Aussies are over here in the summer and they are in tremendous form with bat and ball albeit they’re only playing the West Indies who no longer have any backbone.

Laubushagne, Smith, Head, Kawaja are all in stellar form with the bat.

Players are used to scoring over 200 in 20 overs and 350-400 in 50 over cricket now, the 350+ final day ( plus some ) isn’t the mental hurdle it was for so long.
