The Tuesday 14th February match remains as scheduled and there is no match between 1st and 14th January.
Here are 4 runs of matches in which the current Carlisle United will not achieve what we would wish, even considering that the opposition is on the same schedule:-
Monday 26th December, 3 games in 7 days (Monday, Thursday, Sunday)
Saturday 11th February, 3 games in 8 days (Saturday,Tuesday, Saturday)
Friday 7th April, 5 games in 16 days (Friday, Monday, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday) That Tuesday match is particularly silly scheduling.
The League Two home match against Hartlepool, now not being played on 7th January, will presumably be on a Tuesday, thus bringing about another run of 3 games in 7 days (Saturday / Tuesday / Saturday).
Games on Saturday / Saturday are optimum for this team because it will run till it is half dead, but it needs that recovery time.
Each individual match in that April run of 5 matches in 16 days has plenty of 'meat' in it.
