Sweepstake on the winner of the World Cup

How many of us would be interested in a sweepstake for naming the winner of the World Cup once the last 16 has been established.

If enough of us, I would suggest a fiver entry with half proceeds split between the winners and the other half to a charity proposed by the winner/winners.

Or any other better way if any poster has a suggestion.

Get your hands deep into your pockets.

Visitors from other clubs would also be welcome to join in.

Good lad and quick off the mark.

We could also invite family and friends to give it a boost.

Added suggestion. Should an outsider unselected by any single contibutor win, then all of the proceeds go to a charity/charities nominated by one of the moderators.

Ha,ha. Put them in your back pocket along with Canada and the hosts Qatar.

Thinking about things. It all needs sorting out before Sunday's games so we need quick desicions.

I think because of the timing we will have to by-pass the next round and just have selections for the quarter finals.

    That gives us 16 choices.

Every one can make a selection and pay their fiver by Thurs 8th, quarter finals are on Fri 9th and Sat 10th.

As I suggested friends and family welcome as well as visitors to the site.

So we have between the end of the games on Tuesday up to midnight Thursday.

Revised suggestion if it's ok by everyone, 40% to the winner/s, 20% to the runners up, i.e. beaten finalists and 40% to charity

sounds good to me mate, my kids will no doubt want a go too, not holding out much hope like, i let them have a bet on

England vs USA and the youngest one said he wanted his £2 on a 6-6 draw, he is only 5 year old like lol

i can safely say, that money went on a bottle of Henry Westerns cider
