Alright Crash
I am going to have a go at making American style corned beef this week.
Where does the best brisket?
Is 1kg plenty.
Does it have to be kosher salt for the prep.
Is it ok to feeeze once cooked.
Thanks mate

Just open a tin Scum. Far less work and much nicer.

Although, corned beef and cabbage is eaten on St Patrick's Day in the US, its origins are Jewish. Irish immigrants appropriated it from their neighbors because it tasted a bit like Irish bacon which they couldn't get.
I quite like salted beef brisket - the basis of US corned beef - which we get from Costco.
It is good to have a go at making your own stuff though. Had disasters initially with pork pies, but
Sussed. it now.
