    Interesting...

Could give us a boost for the next stage of the PL. Lots of games are decided on small margins and the lack of fatigue, relatively speaking, of our squad could tip the balance in games against teams with more minutes in the World Cup.

its definitely going to impact the greedy 6, we see it all the time, when a club has had a midweek European game and had to

travel away they tend to slip up in their next PL match. This world cup break has come at a good time for us, the schedule after Christmas is mental, the bigger clubs playing 3 games a week and we only have 1

I think after the return, the teams with the most players at the world cup will be better off for a short while. The world cup players will be up to speed, match fit etc. Where as players at home, although training may of had one or two friendlies and may be sharpness levels will be slightly reduced ( not in our case though Eddie will not allow standards to drop). Also the bigger clubs as you say have more games to play but also tend to have better quality squads and can afford to rest some of their top players However at the back end of the season is where fatigue will hit the hardest and when your fatigued the more likely you are to pick up injuries. It will make for an interesting run in no doubt.

What that clearly indicates to me is that we'll be parading the PL trophy round the Toon come the end of the season

I'm thinking about bringing back mushroom classes.....i'm concerned that people on here have a gap in their knowledge that could be detrimental to them!

With Howes intense training regime, wich has made us the best high pressing team in the league, I think this break will do us good.

Of course we can start losing games, but then it will because we lost momentum and nothing else.

You don't need to crack so many yolks.
