What do you think will happen when the window opens?

I’m hoping we’ll be able to strengthen where necessary via a little bit of wheeler dealing...albeit largely via more loans because I still don’t think we’re allowed to make conventional signings even if we raise money via sales.
Doubt Warne would have joined if he hadn’t been assured that he could do some strengthening at the earliest opportunity.

I believe we can have 5 loan players, we have Roberts, Dobbin, Osula, Anang. So that possibly 1 slot open, plus Bielik back hopefully. So maybe some freebies to add. I'm not optimistic of a significant change in squad

I agree about the wheeler dealing but with the ongoing restrictions I can only see a bit of deckchair re-arranging! With clubs desperate to avoid relegation, trying to get into the play-offs or even sniffing the autos then we are definitely picking up the scraps. A few more Dobbins is our best bet!!

Can't see Bielik returning, he has said that he doesn't want to play in a lower league and his wages would mean other players could not be signed. I rather think the hope there is that he remains injury free and attracts the attention of other champ or prem clubs and he can be sold.

I’m not sure how things stand with Anang. Thought I’d heard he was on the way back to West Ham.
Wildsmith has done better than most expected at the time we signed Anang and I can’t see him hanging around with us just to play ‘second fiddle’ so maybe there’s some leeway there.
A combative midfield leader and a right back would be top of my list while also freeing up Sibley and Knight to do their stuff.
As I understand it anything raised from sales (Bielik?) can be used to pay wages but not to pay transfer fees...but I may be wrong.

For those not ITK.... Clubs are allowed to sign up to eight players on loan but can only select a maximum of five loanees in a match squad.

They can only sign a maximum of four players from a specific club, with only two being over the age of 23.

Helpful clarification which may well help us.
I’m not sure these rules apply to Gino Pozzo and the relationship between Watford and Udinese.
