What’s that coming over the hill…..

    It’s relegation! It’s relegation

We are in big, big trouble.

When you can’t hold onto a two goal lead against 10 men. Have players that can’t attack the ball without turning their backs on the ball IMO it says everything about how much they want to fight for the jersey and the club. Relegation is now a very distinct reality. We won’t have the resources that other teams will have to spend in the transfer window. I don’t see us taking anything from our next couple of games.

When you look at our goal difference compared to the three teams below us, we should be nowhere near them. Is it bad luck, bad breaks or sheer bloody carelessness?? I shudder to think what will happen if (please, not when!!), KvV gets injured.

We are almost in a ‘perfect storm’ here.

A dreadful squad, an in-experienced manager who is looking more and more out of his depth by the game, can’t score goals, can barely create chances and defend poorly. Then you add in the misfortune of the fixture schedule from September up until the WC break, our first home game back being called off due to stadium issues and now a trip to Ibrox looming.

It doesn’t look good and you wouldn’t back this squad in a dogfight.

Relegation is a big possibility now and if this happens then obviously Hammell would need to go but those above him, Burrows included should be taking a good, long look at their own positions as well because this is on them.

Can't argue with that. The last two manager appointments have been lamentable.

Appointing Alexander was fine, the extension on the other hand...

Hammell was a punt. He wouldn't have been my choice but given who applied you need to acknowledge there was no 'safe' option available.

Me n the mates were in VP Club pre-match for the XMas dinner and jollyness (!) Atmosphere pre-match was buzzing, and at HT we were thinking 1 more seals it. Lo n behold, the 1 more comes ... and Killie lose a man to a red card. Said to the mate next to me 'that'll do and it's a great XMas present'. Back in the VP Club post-match and FFS what a downer. Liam Kelly is brought in as he was MOTM somehow; he said next to nowt, and his face was like thunder. Did well not to mention the phannies in our defence, other than commenting 'if you've 4 chances to clear the ball and you don't do it, then someone heads into his own net, what flippin chance you got?'

He stayed for 5 mins then exited stage left.
