Swansea v Burnley Mon 2 Jan 15:00
Runaway leaders Burnley are the visitors this afternoon with two of our ex-players set to play for them, Connor Roberts and Jack Cork.
They are in top form and have won the last five games with one goal conceded, and twelve scored. There is hope though, as six games ago they went to second in the table Sheff Utd and lost 5-2.
Before the Watford 4-0 win we were in despair at our bad run of results but suddenly we have some hope and fresh impetus. With our confidence high, today will be a test of how far we have come with RM at the helm. It was a 4-0 beating in the reverse fixture in October, but surely we won’t play as badly as that again. Stoke gave them a tough game last Friday night before losing 0-1, I’m hoping they come here tired and travel weary for their second away match in three days.

Subs: Fisher, Ntcham, Cundle, Wood, Naughton, Sorinola, Congreve
The difference was the on-loaners and a solid defence.
Maatsen, the on loan Chelsea left-back, with a brilliant free-kick and a 25 yard shot. Benda could have done better with both goals. The on-loan Southampton winger Tella also stood out with his pace.
Tella, as good as he was, was falling over as if pole-axed every time he was tackled trying to get free-kicks.
The ref was poor again, giving Burnley every decision first half.
Second half he was better and less one-sided.
Martin spoilt any chance of our getting anything out of the game by taking off Allen (man of the match), Fulton and Cooper.
Poor goals to concede. Cabango passed short to Darling, then clumsy tackle by Darling for free kick.
We backed off him for Maatsen’s second goal giving him chance to have a shot instead of getting close to block him, poor by Benda, should have saved the shot.
Silly goals conceded are spoiling our season. The players are taking it in turns to make defensive errors.
