    challenge cup fiasco

Yet another embarrassment calling the game off at 7pm.
I watched the STV sports news at 6-30, the presenter was standing in the Bob Shankley stand, and in the background,
you could see two groundsmen forking the sidelines in front of the main stand and also water lying, just above the 18yd line.
at that time , i thought the the game would be off.

There must be protocols to follow when games are in doubt ?
not only dundee fans are being treated by contempt, but also other fans, pars supporters must have been travelling when
    the game was called off.

In my opinion people who have travelled from out of Dundee for this game which was called off about 45 minutes before kickoff due to the late arrival of the match referee should be able to claim a refund from Dundee FC and the SFA who are responsible for their referees at 45p per mile (return journey) or the cost of their return train fare or bus fare.
That would certainly encourage the Dundee Football Club management to get the drainage system at Dens Park sorted once and for all or admit that we are leaving Dens Park for good at the end of the 2022-23 league season.

Jesus fehk, Dundee FC refund fans for an act of god, heard it all now, a few weeks ago Dundee told the SFL the match would be off on the Friday, they told them the inspection would be carried out on the Saturday, you can’t win.

It would certainly encourage the management of Dundee Football Club to get the drainage problems sorted on the Dens Park pitch sorted once and for all.
Aberdeen FC managed to get their pitch payable for their home game on Saturday 17th December 2022 which had a 12.30pm kickoff as it was live on SKY Sports despite a lot more snow falling in Aberdeen than in Dundee.
The problem at Dens Park was frozen pipes in the Main Stand and the Dundee Football Club general manager should be explaining why the central heating was not left on in the Main Stand during the freezing weather to try to prevent the pipes freezing.
It was also reported that there were frozen pipes in the South Enclosure.
However that is not a problem as during the Admin 2 season there was freezing cold weather which resulted in the pipes in the South Enclosure being frozen and the South Enclosure being closed.
I remember this happening at the Cowdenbeath home game on Tuesday 14th December 2010 and the Stirling Albion home game on Saturday 18th December 2010.

The photograph taken on the morning of Friday 16th December 2022 which was posted on the club website showed the pitch covered in snow.
As the undersoil heating had been on during the whole of the week before the Cove Rangers game there is no way that the pitch was frozen with water on top.
You must be thinking about another game before undersoil hearing was installed under the Dens Park pitch.

It was well documented that the undersoil heating had been on all week prior to the Cove Rangers which resulted in a waste of money because of frozen pipes in the Main Stand.
The Dundee Football Club management should stating whether the central heating was left on in the Main Stand during week ending 17th December 2022.
In my opinion frozen pipes in the Main Stand would be unlikely to have happened if the club still used the offices in Dens Park instead of moving ‘lock, stock and barrel’ to the office complex at the Gardyne Campus.
