Definitely need Curtis fit, good chance Fozzy or Cashin will be forced to miss games due to suspension or a knock so need good back up.

He has a history of these lengthy injury spells and spoke, four years ago, about having to manage his injuries throughout what remained of his career. Feel sorry for any player who suffers such long term ‘wear and tear’...but maybe proving to be not our wisest summer signing.

Players called James tend be proving to be not our best signings, but beggars can't be choosers

When all the games in hand have been played (not just our one) we could see Plymouth and Wendy level on points, hypothetically as things stand, 58 points. Ipswich on 54 and us on 50. We still have to play all 3. Win all 3 and the points differentials would be 1 to Ipswich and 5 to Gargoyle/Wendy. Catching up 5 points in 19 games is not impossible and wouldn't require major losses of form from those above us.

Since losing Morgan Whittaker, Plymouth have drawn both games they have played, albeit against Ipswich and Bolton. Ipswich have won 1, lost 1 and drawn 3 of their last 5 games. It can be done.

Anything can be done, BUT, Ipswich have brought in 3 or 4 players so have strength in depth which Derby don't, I expect Owls and Plymouth to do the same.

I'm sticking with a play off place and not thinking we could get an automatic place, that would be a big fat Brucie bonus!

Transfers? We've already got that Springett lad (20) from Norwich. Plays either wing and has also played left back a fair bit as well.

Aye but we are bringing a wee bit of back up to a small squad and lets be honest one with a fair number of older players, whilst Ipswich and the others are adding to good squads.

Suspensions and/or injuries could disrupt us, with only youngsters or loans to fill the gaps. Springett looks good on paper, but is still a youngster and an unknown quantity, hopefully he will prove to be a sound acquisition.
