    Off topic,. Seagull problem

Hi , read up here in Elgin Moray the council have installed sonic devices to prevent seagulls nesting, looks like it was successful. Queens could do a similar thing at the ground at less cost.

Worth looking into by the Board. I remember the wooden owl situated high up inside the main stand to deter the
pigeons which shat on the seats was a complete failure as the birds sat on the dummy owl !

A simple netting placed the length of the stand underneath the rafters will stop all birds nesting or roosting in there. Ayr United have done it and it’s a major success.

I think the gulls nest on top of the east stand roof rather than under it. Probably the same with the old stand.

Not all birds nest up there but all the bird sh!t comes from them nesting or roosting underneath the stand roof. One problem solved with a simple net 😜

Iv not been down the rd to watch Queens for a while , I assumed the issue was the seagulls flying around looking for scrap food. Not sure about the nesting

Seagulls are an absolute menace and we’ll struggle again with them this year no doubt. Pigeons are a real issue under the main stand roof as that’s where they nest and leave their mess everywhere. Like I’ve said earlier a simple netting underneath the metal rafters would stop some of the issues but unfortunately not it all.

Well hopefully the club will take some action sooner than later, especially if it is low cost netting etc
