4 of my 5 teams had a player sent off last week. The Dons, Chelsea, Sunderland and Dumbarton. Yes all 4 of them were beaten. Not sure what the stats are, but I’d reckon say 85% of teams with 1 man short with say 1/2 an hour + to go, get beaten. I had to double check my 5th team ( Elgin ) - no sending off.
A fundamental of any successful team is discipline - when sheer stupidity kicks in - Stewart on Sunday, Felix for Chelsea, to me, the player should get no wages for the period of suspension.
All of my teams were in winnable games ( though the were Dons definite underdogs) but through crass stupidity, the likelihood of victory, disappeared. How can grown up professional players do this?? - in Stewart’s case twice in a matter of games. Once maybe unlucky, but twice … just wanton neglect.
