The UK government has long allowed the greed of financial institutions to aid corrupt -if not downright criminal- activity of oligarchs and other super rich foreigners in the country, especially in London. Oliver Bullough's "Moneyland" opened up this particular can of worms quite dramatically.

Putin s invasion of Ukraine may have led to a range of sanctions against Russian oligarchs but it obviously still stopped short of preventing a department within the Treasury from enabling legal action to be taken by Prigozhin against the independent Bellingcat journalist group that has been responsible for exposing much of the corruption of such individuals. A shameful mis-doing-especially given the current situation in Ukraine. Whoever sanctioned this needs to be dealt with.
