I like what Notts are doing here. By pushing their youth players further up the ladder in one season, it will show whether or not they can make the step up.

I think this is another great move for the lad and Notts. Out of the cups he’d get no game time for us, so better we have a loanee as back-up. At Boston he’s likely to be the first choice, but if not and doesn’t get game time it’s only a month and we look to loan him out somewhere else where he’ll play.

Yes agreed. If he impresses at Boston then he won't be far off challenging for a place at Notts, and with Slocombe not getting any younger there's a potential opportunity developing. Its about time we had one of our genuinely home-grown youngsters make the grade.
