We re-sign Freeman because he was a good prospect with us first time round. That might have been the case but if his contract is coming to an end he along with Smith needs to depart because what we have on the right side of defence is where we find all the danger comes from as these two are not of the right quality if we are to improve. Might be harsh but they need to be told to find pastures new.

Smith is no bad. Can contribute in several positions and does a decent job. Freeman is poor, really poor.

We are desperate for some pace and attacking intent in that team. Freeman is a waste of a shirt. Playing Harkes as a right forward recently also is not ideal. Middleton cant last 90 minutes. Its really bizarre how much of a risk we are taking here going into the rest of the season. We are joint bottom ffs.
