Thread: Should we not cheat the system like Chelsea?

  1. #11
Watkins is pivotal, I don't see how this side lines up without him on the basis that Duran isn't ready for the PL and the time it took for Wesley to start to get to grips with the cut & thrust of it. We have Bertie back, who will feature heavily until he gets injured - he can play as a central striker if needed (and fit), could Ramsey be moulded into an out and out striker? He's now the best finisher at the club?

I'm sure with a loan, they can be called back at any time, may as well leave him at Boro to get mins on the pitch, no good having back to sit on the bench. Bit crazy selling Ings though! In the good old days of Ron Saunders, he used to throw big Alan Evans up front, I bet you could get Konsa to do the same? Hold the ball up, two good feet and an aerial threat!

Some loans have a no-recall clause, no idea if Archer does.

When Ron bought him from a Scottish club, Evans was a striker, so he knew where the net was. Re. the brilliant turning volley at the Sty.

Very odd selling Ings without an immediate replacement coming in. Although, Unai does appear to want us to try and walk the ball in. Maybe along the lines of ‘false 9s’ and all that sh1te.

Archer's loan reported to be a "no-recall" arrangement.
