I was kind of hoping there would be another unconfirmed player alongside Gordon and Ashby at St. James tonight. Like Maddison or Berge, but it wad never happening. However, just the fact I was thinking that tells you something how far weve come.
You could argue were a bit more week in the middle with Shelvey leaving but all in all, we got a stronger squad now than before the window.
Dont forget, Burn can be pulled in as CB, with Targett or Ashby slotting in at LB. That would mean Schar can play DM, and with Gordon on the wing it gives us options. More options than before.
