The police have today issued an apology to the Hillsborough victims’ families following an inquiry (not SYP I might add)
Well give yourselves a pat on the back!
Scandalous treatment over 3 decades
Boils my p1ss let mi tell thi
And I suspect many (most) people have the same views.
I admit I don’t know a thing about the enquiry.
All i know is what I’ve seen on the film footage.
And to be honest I can’t see hundreds of police pushing the crowd forward into the stadium.
In fact I can’t see a single police officer pushing the crowd into the stadium.
And that’s not to say that the police are exonerated - and then greatly added to the pain afterwards.
I understand YN some good points,
It’s the police coercive interviews, lies & use of media smears to deflect the accountability and generally portray Liverpool fans as vermin who caused the disaster that has always made my blood boil, all stemming from Downing Street
Anyway rant over, we all have to move on
Just had to get that off my chest fellas
The facts are that the Inquiry exonerated the Liverpool fans from subsequent involvement in the deaths of the 96 .
What ever people's opinion is or view of something they've read or seen in the media that contradicts the Inquiry is plainly wrong .
There is no other view or opinion that is credible or truthful .
The Liverpool fans were innocent and not complicit in the deaths of the 96 .
End of story .

Another story.
There’s usually only one disaster discussed when it comes to Liverpool fans. When you talk to them, when you hear about them, when you talk about them.
It’s right that the Police apologise, but we shouldn’t forget the other tragedy either. A story that too often gets forgotten and hidden
