    Superb player.

Terrific signing if it happens and a massive upgrade on Phillips and Diangana.

Agree. He always seemed to have decent games against us for the Vile. Surprisingly, I dont think though he was overly popular with their fans?

From my understanding of the situation we have chosen to sign Albrighton over the lad from Chelsea. I could be wrong about this but if I’m correct it could be the correct decision.

Nope. Chelsea made a mess of their paperwork for the Ziyech to PSG move so prioritised their efforts trying to complete that which I believe they failed to do. Consequently they didn't process Hutchison's paperwork in time for him to be registered.

Another young Chelsea player missed out on a loan move for the same reason, I think he was off to Stoke. We then pulled the plug on Grant's loan move to Swansea. We were after Albrighton and Hutchinson, it wasn't a case of one or the other.

Albion at the last minute pulled the plug on Grant due to the Chelsea deal collapsing

Albrighton was a player we long toyed with back in his Villa days and I’ve always rated him.

He might be 33 but he’s very similar to James Milner in that he’s still very fit and quick and has desire, I think he’s a great signing, better than taking a risk on a kid.

If only Vardy was available.......my favourite Prem player of the past decade, a trier who’s worked his nuts off to squeeze every last drop out of his abilities and if I was a manager, he’d be the “poster boy” for my strikers to aspire to.

Even at 36 he’s still a fantastic player.
