Agree but that was then. Look at now. Give the new guys a break, please. Don't stop with posting your views but howabout just gonnae no' bang on about what happened in the past with Nelms and Dee4Life.
As I have said building up the membership of Dee4life seems to me to be a good thing to do.
The DSA can surely meet with Nelms without Dee4Life. I'm sure the SLO was there as a DSA committee member as was already in the building for the weekly ops meeting - as discussed at the recent DSA meeting which Dee4Life were invited to and were present.
Has the SLO ever been invited to a Dee4Life Board meeting Islay?
What do you think the reasons John Nelms won't speak to Dee4Life are.
I'd say progress has been made by Dee4Life getting several meetings with the General Manager who according to Dee4Life releases, answered all these questions.
All without inviting the DSA to a meeting with a club rep. They dont all need to go into the same meetings I don't think - especially if dffering issues are being discussed
Correct. At the last Dee4life board of directors meeting it was stated that in future all questions by the Dee4life director for club staff, directors and the SLO had to be forwarded to the next board of directors meeting where it would be discussed and if it the questions were agreed to be suitable then a nominated director would forward them to the relevant person.
At a meeting in the Dens Park boardroom on 4th January 2020 between John Nelms and the Dee4life board of directors John Nelms stated that in future Dee4life would be invited to attend meetings attended by the DSA, Dee Promotions, the Club and the Charity.
It never happened as Dee4life were not invited to attend the meeting held on 27th January 2020 and they have never been invited to attend any subsequent meetings.
The question which should be asked is why were Dee4life not invited to attend the recent meeting which the Chairman of the DSA and the SLO were invited to attend with John Nelms.
As far as I am aware the SLO used to meet with Jim Thomson prior to every home game. I assume that the SLO will now meet with Greg Fenton who is the General Manager and/or Jim Thomson who is the match day commander before every home game at Dens Park.
