    Who knows but if you read the articles quoting them or listen to various interviews from Kinnear, Orta and Radz but mainly Angus it seems that they were not going to extend his contract beyond last summer so didn’t want to spend a lot on players he wanted that a new coach might not want.

    They didn’t want to live on year to year contracts seemingly.

    They also seemed to have more faith in Bielsa’s ability to turn water into wine than they should have.

    Bielsa said he wanted better players but there was no point buying players that were not a significant upgrade.

    With the decent midfielders he asked for we wouldn’t have been so exposed by the injuries and I suspect been comfortably mid table.

    However, we will never know.

    To borrow old sayings from the oval-ball chasers of both codes of Rugby & the mantra my Psychiatrist instilled into my psyche;

    ''Forwards win games & the backs decide by how many''

    “The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.”

    So lets hope JM & team has got the correct 'Glutamate mojo levels' flowing on Sunday 🤗
    Just saying like.

    I don't really understand the comment about "acquired taste", any more than I do the earlier post that prompted my response (hence the "WTF ???). As to acquiring "taste", that would depend on your definition of the word, n'est pas? And "The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another". Statement of the blindingly obvious

    Google/Wiki says that Glutamate = "the most abundant excitatory neurotransmitter released by nerve cells in your brain". And your point?

    Fact remains that since last August we have managed 4 clean sheets, which won't win us anything given our limited options on the front line. We have greater ability there (the front line) than we have defensively, but neither is capable of inspiring anything like confidence.

    And you’re not extracting the yeast…

    I often wonder what a real chat room of the residents on here would be like…

    …and then I try to think of something else.
